LAWorld AGM in Barcelona

This year’s annual LAWorld Conference took place in Barcelona (Spain) from May 2 to 5, 2017. The conference was hosted by the local member Cores y García Pedrerol.
For the first time the LAWorld Next Generation was officially joining the annual LAWorld Conference. BGP was therefore attending the Conference with a group of junior and senior lawyers.

BGP advises HBM Healthcare Investments regarding a EUR 20 Mio. Investment in Amicus Ltd
HBM Healthcare Investments made a new equity investment of EUR 20 million in two tranches into the privately held and Switzerland based Amicus Ltd. The financing will allow Amicus Ltd to accelerate the growth of its pharmaceutical business in Central and Eastern Europe.
HBM Healthcare Investments invests in the healthcare sector and is listed on SIX Swiss Exchange (ticker: HBMN). The Company holds and manages an international portfolio of promising companies in the human medicine, biotechnology, medical technology and diagnostics sectors and related areas.
Bader Gnehm & Partner advised HBM Healthcare Investments with regards to all legal aspects of this transaction. The team was lead by Oliver Gnehm (Partner) and furthermore included Jürg Locher (Partner), Olivier Bula (Senior Associate) and Bastian Blank (Associate).

LAWorld EMEA 2016 in Amsterdam

BGP attended the latest LAWorld EMEA meeting held in Amsterdam from February 3th to 4th, 2017. The meeting was hosted by the local member van der Steenhoven. It was a very special meeting because exactly 20 years ago the first LAWorld meeting was held in Amsterdam.
Main topic of the meeting was "social media". Therefore the this time awarded LAWorld EMEA Star Award was given for the best social media and webpage presence. The lucky winner was the host firm van der Steenhoven.
