The BADER · GNEHM & PARTNER firm employs trainees at all offices on an ongoing basis.
In addition to having a good lic. iur or MLaw degree, the requirements for employment are the ability to work within a team, good computer skills (especially word processing), and enthusiasm for practical legal work. Proficiency in English and/or French as well as the prior completion of an internship at a court or administrative body is advantageous.
Our trainees become familiarised with the entire spectrum of the work of attorneys. For this reason, they are thrown “into the deep end” from the start and receive assignments in the same manner as “ripe” attorneys. Among their tasks are the preparing of legal evaluations, the editing of contracts, the drafting of pleadings, as well as contact with clients, opposing counsel, and authorities.
Our trainees are not assigned permanently to any specific attorney, but are called on by different attorneys according to need in individual cases. This gives them the opportunity to become familiar not only with several practice areas, but also with different work and negotiation styles.
Teamwork is one of our great strengths. This is why we also fully integrate trainees into our team. They take part not only at the firm’s all-hands meetings, but also at our multiple social events (jazz brunch, ProAm, ski weekend, and many more).
If you are interested in a traineeship, we would be happy to receive your application together with the customary documentation. Please address your application to:

Our firm in Bern offers the possibility to students of gaining an initial insight into the work performed by attorneys during a short internship at the Bern office of three to six weeks.
The students are essentially supervised by trainees but also get the opportunity to be present at client consultations with attorneys or within the team and, if possible, to also attend judicial proceedings. They are assigned to collaborate in cases according to their specific prior knowledge.
We accept applications at all times from those studying both in Switzerland and abroad. If you are interested in an introductory internship, please address your application together with the customary documentation to:
